SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - Hotrides Cornfest has quickly transformed into the Laird International Raceway's PREMIERE EVENT of the summer!
With the Twin Sault & Algoma District needing a void filled from a previous festival of it's kind, LIR management stepped up in the summer of 2011 to bring two days and two nights of soothing country music, sparkling classic cars, kids entertainment and exciting stock car racing.
The response was tremendous!

Cornfest Returned In Style!
Laird International Raceway - home of the Hot Rides Cornfest 2011 - knows how to throw a party!!!
Blessed by 2 amazing summer days and nights the Cornfest "motor-vated" several thousand folks into high gear. So much stuff was going on that it was impossible to take it all in at once.
The concert stage performances were spectacular. The food was delicious. The beer was cold. The stock car races were wildly thrilling. The car show was epic. Kids rocked the play zone all day long. Cool stuff was for sale in the "vendor bender village".

CORNFEST returns to entertain Algoma and area This summer, on Saturday and Sunday, August 27th & 28th, marks the return of Cornfest The HOT RIDES CORNFEST is a jam-packed festival of activity. Featured country music artists, a classic car, motorcycle show and shine, arts and crafts vendor village, kids’ fun zone, transport truck light show parades, stock car racing and fireworks are all part of the scheduled events.

Cornfest? What's this all about? During the winter months of 2010/2011, Laird International Raceway promoter Donnie Varcoe wanted to do something a bit different during the 2011 racing season. Over the past couple years, the race track has seen declining attendance, due in part to poor weather. Mr. Varcoe wanted to add a bit of punch to the upcoming race season to see if he could spark some more interest in the track and in turn improve fan attendance. From that thought came the idea of having an all day event with some bands.
